life and reduce robot downtime.
The Torch
Cleaner Service Center is integrated into the robot
system for complete control of the cleaning process.
At regular intervals the robot will place and clamp
the torch nozzle in the torch cleaner assembly. A
reamer will raise and clean the inside of the nozzle
and then the robot will move the torch over an anti-spatter
sprayer for a short blast of lubricant to prolong
torch life and help prevent spatter from sticking
to the nozzle. The robot will then move the torch
to the wire cutting mechanism to cut the wire stickout
to its proper length. Finally, the robot can then
perform a quick check on alignment using the BullsEye
calibration tool.
